Alpacatrax D’Artagnan (ARI #1304923) was born on July 13, 2003 to Wilpaca’s Milagros (ARI #811082) (or as we call her “Millie”) and weighed in at 21 lbs. at birth, a good, solid birthweight. D’Artagnan's father is award winning Maple Brook Hummer (ARI # 176341) himself a blue-ribbon winner and champion son of Maple Brook’s Bueno (ARI #11789), one of the top bloodlines and winner of more “Get-of-Sire” awards than any other male in the country as of 2006. D’Artagnan’s maternal grandfather is PPPeruvian Inca (ARI #139296) and his paternal grandmother is PPeruvian Mercedes (ARI #122865).

D’Artagnan has matured into a fine, young male with white on his nose and chin and full coverage dark brown luscious fleece from head to toe. His strong confirmation, lustrous dark brown/black dense coat, sparkly large dark eyes framed with long lashes, and friendly personality make him one of the favorites on the farm. He kisses our farm family and strangers alike. His fiber is in strong demand by some of our more experienced fiber artist friends who appreciate the extreme hand, luster and staple length of his annual fleece. Breed to high quality females, D’Artagnan has demonstrated, he brings wonderful dark color, fiber intensity and confirmation to his crias. And – as our experience has shown over these past ten years, if dam or sire has affinity for people, it often is transferred to their offspring, making for wonderful pets and strong bonding with caretakers.
