Midnight Marmalade (ARI # 830595) – born on April 18, 2001, has a statuesque presence, dense black, voluminous fiber and a micron count of 23.7. Like her mother Wilpaca’s Milagros (ARI # 11082) “Milly” as we called her, Midnight is a true black with beautiful large brown eyes, perfect conformity, excellent coverage and the friendliest disposition we have ever seen in an animal. Her father is NZ Maori Magic, (ARI #138468) also a true black who has produced a MAPACA 2001 Grey Female Color Champion and BIG E 2001 Black Female Color Champion.
Midnight Marmalade is transitioning from the ‘star’ performer of our small alpaca herd, greeting all guests with a kiss and then hanging around to be sure all goes well, to one of our proven ‘grand dames’ with 3 wonderful crias – 2 daughters and a son – born on our farm. Whether bred to a top quality white or a dark colored herdsire, Midnight’s crias all have wonderful conformity, dense and luscious dark or true black fleece with fine staple length and winning personalities.
